Consultant – Scientific Ontologies (m/f/x)

Here´s what you´ll do:
Lead and support international consulting and IT projects with a focus on the development of ontology models
Recording and implementation of requirements
Interaction with domain experts and data scientists in workshop settings
Data curation and annotation of ontologies with reference to public data sources and ontologies
Integration of ontologies in downstream applications
Preparing data for knowledge graphs


This is what you need to succeed:
Strong background in Life Science, Pharma or IT (a master is a must, we love a PhD even more)
Extensive knowledge in one or several of these areas:
In-depth knowledge in Bioinformatic ontologies, vocabularies and taxonomies
Expert in semantic technologies like Protégé, Top Quadrant or Anzo
Experience in semantic web standards like RDF and OWL
Strong background in wet lab, bio-, chem-, medicinal informatic

Excitement to receive training on the other subject areas, that you are not yet an expert in
Experience in working in international and cross-functional teams and working proficiency in both English and German
Willingness to travel from time to time
