Exposure

Exposure, also called drug exposure, is defined as the drug levels observed in the body after administration. The drug level and dosage of the drug are in direct relationship. The response to a drug can be assessed in terms of either efficacy or safety. Understanding the relationship between exposure and response is critical to finding a dose that optimally strikes a balance between drug efficacy and adverse events.
